1. Meditate, don’t medicate!

The most important thing to remember is that a healthy lifestyle is not dictated by medication, instead is guided by positive thoughts and a healthy mindset. For example, if you have insomnia problems, the healthy approach is not to primarily medicate it, but try finding a natural remedy via meditation. A few deep breaths and focusing on your breathing can go a long way!

Try to clear your mind, leaving all the stress behind,also counting your breaths can help. If it doesn’t work in the first place, just try saying in your mind the following:  ‘’Don’t think’’ and repeat it for at least 30 seconds. 2. Exercise daily.

Exercising is the key to a healthy body and life. Either if you’re into yoga, fitness, basketball or any other sport, you’re a few steps ahead. If not, I have the solution for you. A useful tip is to invest in a pedometer that allows you to count your steps daily. The recommended level is to reach 10.000 steps per day, and I know that looking at that specific number might scare you a little. But not to worry, is actually very simple, if you reduce the elevator usage and try walking around as much as you can, I guarantee you fast results! Exercise daily for a healthy lifestyle.

3. Eat more vegetables and fruits.

Vitamins and nutrients are the most important thing your body could  ask for. Therefore, fruits and vegetables are important for good health. Experts suggest 3-8 servings of fruits/vegetables a day, but we all know that this may not come handy for ‘’office rats’’ . However, when you have the possibility, include foods like kidney beans, carrots, salad, cabbage, broccoli  into your daily menu. Also, try to pick green vegetables, because we all know, green is good. Fruits are easy to consume as a daily snack between your main meals, and for sure will provide you enough sugar. Better than chocolate!

4. Set a ‘’5 meal’’ deal.

Experts recommend three main courses (breakfast, lunch and dinner) per day with two snacks in between. This style of diet is praised to be the most efficient one and it is based on the property of metabolism. However, this diet does not work if you maintain the same eating habits. You need to reduce your intake of  carbs and sugar in order to success with this recipe. So say bye-bye to deep-fried food, french-freis, fast food, doughnuts. There are alternatives for all of that: steamed, grilled, or raw food.

5. Cut down on coffee and soda

Drinks with caffeine are diuretics, meaning that they raise the rate of urine from your system, including water. Also, soda is unhealthy, causes weight gain, and is a toxic beverage. Replace your caffeine beverages with water or vegetable juices instead.
